Thermo Fisher beats third-quarter estimates and raises its 2026 outlook
Revenue rose 9% to $12.14 billion and adjusted earnings grew 15% to $6.68 a share.
Thermo Fisher Scientific reported third-quarter revenue of $12.14 billion on Wednesday, up 9% from a year earlier, with organic growth of 6%. Adjusted earnings rose 15% to $6.68 a share, and GAAP earnings rose 9% to $4.64 a share. Both adjusted earnings and revenue were above Wall Street forecasts.
The life-sciences company also raised its full-year 2026 outlook for sales, profit and cash flow. Chairman and CEO Marc Casper pointed to broad-based demand and strong execution. Laboratory Products and Biopharma Services was the fastest-growing unit.
It was a different earnings-day story from Intuitive Surgical, where a one-time charge weighed on the results. Reports differed on how Thermo Fisher shares moved early in the day, so we are not citing a price move.
