Asian shares mostly rose on Friday, rebounding from the week's AI-driven losses as bargain hunters bought beaten-down technology stocks. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index ended 0.7% higher at 23,093.
In early European trading, Germany’s DAX slipped 0.4% and Paris’s CAC 40 shed 0.6%, while traditional safe havens benefited from a cautious mood. U.S. stock futures were little changed after the Nasdaq posted its steepest daily drop since June on Thursday.
On Friday’s calendar, the University of Michigan’s final October consumer sentiment reading is due at 10 a.m. ET. Investors are also watching whether demand for safe assets keeps Treasury yields below 5%.
